Andy joined Senstronics as Managing Director in 2022. Since starting his working life as an Electro-mechanical Maintenance Engineer apprentice, Andy has over 30 years of manufacturing industry experience. For the last 20 years he has leadership positions in Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Operations and Supply Chain.

Andy has successfully delivered a variety of improvements and transformations across a broad range of industries, companies and countries. His industry segment experience includes, food, FMCG, plastics, Pharmaceutical, automotive paper, chemical manufacturing, MRO operations, Oil & Gas and electronics. Andy is a qualified Six-Sigma Black-belt, Lean trainer/practitioner, APICS trainer and an Executive Coach, he is also a triple graduate with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Psychology.

Andy is values driven with passion for leadership and the development of people and teams.

Kate joined Senstronics in 2020, bringing over 15 years of HR senior management experience from across various sectors. Kate studied Economics and Public Policy before completing a MSc in Human Resource Management whilst employed by a local authority.

Kate is responsible for the people function of the business and is passionate about employee engagement. Since joining the business Kate has championed the people agenda and introduced a number of initiatives to help establish Senstronics as an Employer of Choice, including projects relating to health and wellbeing, recruitment and selection and training and development.

Kate advocates the core values of the business and drives the culture by encouraging positive behaviours, identifying solutions and supporting change and improvements.

Kate is committed to collaborative working and leads the HR Team as a key function of business productivity and success at every level in the organisation.

Kevin joined the Production Team in 2019 in the role of Supervisor and through the consistent achievement of results he progressed to Operations Manager in 2022. Kevin is driven by performance and strives to achieve excellence in all aspects of production. Managing the production across both units in Senstronics, Kevin leads by example and supports his teams by having clear objectives and providing regular communication on performance and results.

Kevin champions change and encourages innovation, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement within production and the wider business. Kevin has significant experience in lean manufacturing and business improvement techniques and has a critical influence in shaping the strategic plans for Senstronics, and achieving the ambitious growth plans.

Sarah joined Senstronics to lead the supply function in 2015, bringing over 20 years of Supply Chain Management experience from across various different sectors.

Sarah is responsible for the Sales, Procurement and Distribution functions within Senstronics, requiring extensive coordination, planning and direction.

Sarah has responsibility for ensuring that customer requirements are met at all times and that the parts we deliver are at a competitive price. Sarah is also responsible for working closely with our Far East supply chain, to ensure raw materials arrive in a timely manner for the production of transducers.

Sarah is passionate about forward planning and works closely with all functions in Senstronics to provide support to ensure that manufacturing targets can be achieved.

Chris joined Senstronics as Head of Finance and IT in 2022. Since qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant from Durham University Business School, Chris has built his 25 years of post-qualification experience within industry with a focus on manufacturing, engineering and construction.

Chris is responsible for the finance function of the business, support members of the SLT to align their delivery of strategic plans with budget parameters.

Chris is experienced in driving continuous improvement through efficient financial planning and analysis. Chris thrives on detail and manages the financial health of the business with practicality and diligence.

Andy has been part of Senstronics’ journey since it was established at it’s current site in Newton Aycliffe. Andy was recruited on the basis of his theoretical and practical competency in high-volume PCB manufacturing.

Using the knowledge acquired in study towards a MSc Optoelectronics, following a BSc in Physics, Andy was a fundamental contributor to the research and design of thin-film pressure sensor elements.

Andy is responsible for the Business Development Team, charged with the management and delivery of capital projects in accordance with strategic goals and future demands.

Andy is committed to the development and maintenance of a meaningful roadmap for the business and drives actions to influence production flow and capacity.

James joined Senstronics as Head of Engineering in 2026, bringing extensive experience from a variety of engineering and leadership roles within both high‑volume and low-volume manufacturing environments. His background spans hands‑on engineering, technical problem solving and driving improvements across complex production operations.

In his role, James leads the Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering and Maintenance functions, working to strengthen product performance, optimise processes and ensure robust engineering governance across the business.

James leads with a collaborative and structured approach, valuing openness, capability development and continuous improvement. He is committed to building an empowered engineering team focused on delivering high‑quality outcomes and operational excellence.
