Senstronics is proud to be attending the 2023 North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) Inspiring Females Award Ceremony to support shortlisted employee, Diane Wheeler.

Diane was nominated by the company based on the impact that she has had on the business, and the inspirational influence shown to others, whilst fulfilling the role of Manufacturing Engineer. Diane has been recognised by NECC as an inspirational female and as a role model for others, as someone who’s passion and drive has made a difference to the business and to her colleagues.

Diane joined Senstronics in July 2018 and has played a pivotal role in the development of production improvements, quantified by increased output and reduced downtime. Diane’s role in Senstronics is one belonging to an established career in engineering, part of which was spent in the Royal Navy.

The initiative provides an important opportunity to raise the profile of women, particularly in a male dominated industry like engineering. I’m delighted that Diane’s determination to succeed and her ability to motivate others will be showcased at the Award Ceremony next month”.

Diane is one of a number of nominees shortlisted for the Inspiring Females (medium business) category and will attend the Awards Ceremony in Newcastle next month, supported by the Senior Leadership Team.
